Senior/Staff Product Owner, Smart Manufacturing & AI
Role Summary
Lead definition, prioritization and delivery of end-to-end smart manufacturing and AI solutions for Micron's semiconductor operations. Work with cross-functional engineering, quality and data teams to translate business needs into measurable, production-ready solutions that improve yield, quality, test coverage and operational performance.
Experience Level
Senior-level (Staff/Senior). The posting lists a minimum of 3 years of semiconductor industry experience; the role expects demonstrated experience leading cross-functional technical initiatives.
Responsibilities
Own product direction and execution for AI-driven Smart Manufacturing initiatives, coordinating across engineering, test, quality and data science teams.
- Lead development and implementation of AI/ML-enabled manufacturing solutions to improve yield, quality, test coverage and system performance.
- Partner with Test Solutions Engineering, Product Engineering, Global Quality and other stakeholders to identify opportunities for digital transformation.
- Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, solution architects and data engineers to define scope, requirements and delivery plans.
- Translate business problems into user stories, acceptance criteria and data requirements; manage backlog and sprint planning.
- Develop business cases, quantify value (ROI/NPV), define success metrics and prioritize implementations.
- Track outcomes through production deployment and measure adoption, productivity and operational impact.

Must-have:
- Minimum 3 years semiconductor industry experience in assembly, test, product engineering or quality/reliability supporting DRAM, NAND or HBM (as stated).
- Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into actionable specifications for technical teams.
- Proven ability to analyze domain-specific manufacturing data and collaborate with multi-functional teams to define technical solutions.
- Experience managing Agile product development: user stories, sprint planning, backlog management and project tracking (tools such as Jira and Confluence).
- Ability to define and track measurable success metrics and communicate business impact.

Nice-to-have:
- Strong knowledge of semiconductor product, probe, assembly and test manufacturing flows for DRAM, NAND and HBM.
- Experience with AI/ML, data science, smart manufacturing or advanced analytics initiatives.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies, MLOps and data flow management concepts.
- Experience creating wireframes, prototypes or UI mockups to evaluate business solutions.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical field; equivalent practical experience will be considered (as stated in the posting).
