Senior Staff Product Engineer - Power / Analog

Role Summary

Product engineering role with end-to-end technical program ownership for power and analog ASICs from concept through first silicon, qualification, production release and sustaining.

Single point of accountability across design, package, test, operations, foundry and OSAT teams to deliver production-quality power/analog products.

Experience Level

Senior-level. Typically 10+ years of semiconductor product engineering, NPI, manufacturing and test experience.

Responsibilities

Accountable for product readiness, qualification, production release and ongoing sustaining for power/analog products.

• Represent product, test and package requirements in design reviews (test access, trim/OTP strategy, diagnostics, multi-variant bond-out).
• Select and qualify packages and thermal solutions; define package development and qualification plans with OSATs.
• Define and own NPI schedule, milestone gates and cross-functional risk register from concept to production.
• Plan and execute qualification per JEDEC/AEC-Q100 as applicable; prepare release documentation and compliance evidence.
• Monitor production data, apply statistical analysis to drive yield and quality improvements; optimise test and disposition limits.
• Manage product BOMs, lifecycle data and transfers; support fab/OSAT transfers and change control.
• Investigate customer returns and RMAs; reproduce failures and assess test coverage for power-device stress modes.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and act as escalation point for product-level technical decisions.

Requirements

Must-have skills and domain experience required to perform the role.

• Proven product engineering experience owning at least one product from concept to mass production.
• Core experience with power or analog products (high-voltage/high-current devices, drivers, regulators, power management).
• Strong understanding of analog/power device behavior across process, voltage and temperature (driver stages, regulators, references, protection).
• Practical knowledge of wafer fabrication, assembly, test, qualification and production-release flows.
• Experience managing wafer starts, prototype builds, customer samples, inventory and product BOMs.
• Familiarity with JEDEC and AEC-Q100 qualification standards and failure analysis methods.
• Experience working with external foundries, OSATs and distributed global teams.
• Fluency with data/statistical methods for yield, quality and cycle-time management; clear written and verbal communication.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in electronics, electrical, materials or physics engineering is required; advanced degree is welcome. The posting allows equivalent practical experience in lieu of a degree.

Preferred

Relevant items that strengthen a candidate's fit.

• Automotive power/analog experience (AEC-Q100 Grade 1/0, tri-temp production test, IATF 16949, PPAP).
• Exposure to ISO 26262 and traceable safety evidence (FMEDA-related characterization and production screens).
• Experience with multi-variant die and package derivatives, thermal modelling and SOA analysis for power devices.
• Familiarity with PLM and yield-management tools (Agile, PDF Exensio, JMP or equivalent) and fab/OSAT transfer projects.
