Job Title

Senior Staff Product Engineer

Role Summary

Member of the Product Engineering team supporting Networking, Switch and Processor product lines. Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from silicon bring-up through mass production, focusing on yield, test, and product performance characterization.

Work cross-functionally with Test, Foundry, Reliability and Design teams to drive product readiness and manufacturing release goals.

Experience Level

Senior — minimum 7 years of experience in the semiconductor industry.

Responsibilities

Accountable for NPI engineering sample bring-up, yield analysis, and driving improvements required for production release.

  • Lead initial silicon bring-up and NPI activities in collaboration with Product and Test teams.
  • Analyze engineering-sample yield and characterize product performance across test stages.
  • Perform statistical and data analysis on wafer sort and final test results to identify failure modes.
  • Support test engineering to resolve test-program and ATE-related issues.
  • Plan and drive debug, root-cause analysis, and implementation of solutions to improve yield and reduce test time toward mass-production targets.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience; plus a few preferred items.

  • Minimum 7 years' semiconductor industry experience in product or test engineering.
  • Solid understanding of semiconductor manufacturing and device physics.
  • Strong analytical skills with statistical literacy and experience using quality tools (GR&R, Cp, Cpk).
  • Hands-on experience with test development, debug, and root-cause analysis.
  • Ability to lead complex projects independently and collaborate across functions; strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Must be eligible to access export-controlled technology; employment may be subject to export license review.
  • Nice-to-have: working knowledge of ATE (e.g., Advantest 93K, UltraFlex), test handlers, and wafer probers.

Education Requirements

B.S. in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field required; M.S. preferred.
