Role Summary
Hands-on engineering role responsible for post-silicon manufacturing validation and debug of AMD data-center GPU products. The role owns power, thermal, voltage, and frequency (PTVF) characterization, test coverage optimization, and production-ready validation flows.

Responsibilities
Principal responsibilities focus on post-silicon test development, deep-dive failure analysis, and cross-functional closure to enable high-volume manufacturing.
- Develop and deploy post-silicon manufacturing test plans targeting power, thermal, voltage, and frequency operating conditions.
- Lead silicon and system-level debug; perform root-cause analysis across silicon, firmware, platform, and test infrastructure.
- Characterize and optimize PPA (power, performance, area) trade-offs for HVM conditions.
- Validate DVFS states, thermal corners, and guard-banding under real-world workloads.
- Analyze manufacturing and field return data to improve test effectiveness, fault detection, yield, and reliability.
- Collaborate with silicon design, firmware, platform, and manufacturing teams to implement fixes and scale validation flows.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience for immediate impact. Preferred items listed where applicable.
- Must have: Proven post-silicon bring-up, manufacturing test debug, and failure analysis experience for complex SoCs or GPU/CPU platforms.
- Must have: Strong hands-on debug skills in lab and fleet-level environments using logs, telemetry, and instrumentation; comfortable in Linux with scripting (Python, Bash) and data analysis.
- Must have: Experience designing and optimizing high-volume manufacturing test flows (ATE and system-level test) with focus on coverage efficiency and defect screening.
- Must have: Ability to root-cause issues across hardware, firmware, drivers, and system interactions using a structured, data-driven approach.
- Must have: Experience analyzing large-scale manufacturing or fleet data to identify trends and systematic failures.
- Nice to have: Prior experience with datacenter GPUs/accelerators, servers, or large-scale compute platforms.
- Nice to have: Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional/global debug efforts and influence on design/test decisions.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field. The posting specifies a minimum of 5β7 years of experience in SoC thermal validation and debug.
