Senior level (Staff/Sr). Specific years of experience are not stated; final level will be determined during the interview process.
Responsibilities
Deliver RTL and microarchitectural designs and support integration to tapeout.
- Architect and implement custom IP blocks and SoC components in RTL (Verilog/VHDL).
- Make performance-aware microarchitecture and RTL design decisions for compute, interconnect, and memory-heavy blocks.
- Optimize designs for power, performance, and area (PPA) and collaborate on timing closure and synthesis strategies.
- Support backend handoff and work with physical design and timing teams to achieve closure.
- Contribute to validation through emulation, FPGA prototyping, and UVM-based flows when required.
- Participate in specification definition, design reviews, and cross-team planning.
Requirements
Core skills and constraints required for the role.
Must-have:
- Proven RTL development experience in Verilog or VHDL and familiarity with full ASIC flows.
- Strong understanding of computer architecture and IP microarchitecture.
- Experience optimizing for PPA and awareness of synthesis and timing-closure practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively across design, DV, physical, and firmware teams; strong communication and specification skills.
- Eligibility to access U.S. export-controlled technology (citizenship, permanent residency, or ability to obtain required licenses).
