Work with cross-functional teams including NPI PE, Test, Foundry, Reliability and HVM to validate features, improve yield and support early customer engagement.
Experience Level
Senior — minimum 8 years in the semiconductor industry; at least 5 years in semiconductor manufacturing at 7nm technology node or below and ~5 years with automated test equipment experience.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include leading initial product bring-up and driving NPI to mass production.
- Lead silicon bring-up and validation of new device features with NPI Product and Test teams.
- Collaborate with NPI PE, Test, Foundry and Reliability to develop test/DFT methodologies for high-speed datacenter products.
- Analyze engineering-sample yield and characterize product performance and manufacturing yield windows.
- Perform data mining and statistical analysis on wafer sort and final test parametrics to assess initial product quality.
- Execute functional testing and debug to ensure product operation and reliability.
- Support test engineering to resolve test program and equipment issues.
- Coordinate yield and test-time improvement activities (data analysis, root-cause, implement fixes) to meet production release goals.
- Manage relationships with test subcontractors during early production stages.
- Work with HVM PE to identify and drive production capacity and manufacturing improvements.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills, experience and work practices.
- Minimum 8 years of semiconductor industry experience.
- Minimum 5 years of semiconductor manufacturing experience at 7nm node or below.
- Minimum 5 years hands-on experience with automated test equipment (ATE); familiarity with Advantest 93K, UltraFlex; experience with test handlers and wafer probers is a plus.
- Demonstrable knowledge of yield analysis and quality metrics (GR&R, Cp, Cpk).
- Strong test methodology knowledge and hands-on debugging skills.
- Self-directed, able to manage complex technical projects and work cross-functionally.
