Senior Staff Engineer - Design Verification
Role Summary
Senior verification engineer responsible for SOC and subsystem verification within Marvell's Custom Compute & Storage (CCS) business unit. The role leads verification architecture, plans and execution for complex ARM-based SoC projects and helps deliver silicon-quality RTL and gate-level verification.
Works with global cross-functional teams, mentors junior engineers, and contributes to verification process improvements for storage, accelerator and CXL-related product lines.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include end-to-end SOC/subsystem verification planning, implementation and delivery.
- Define verification architecture and verification plans for SOC/subsystem projects.
- Develop UVM-based testbenches, integrate VIPs and in-house verification components.
- Create and run UVM and assembly/C test cases; perform coverage analysis at RTL and gate levels.
- Integrate complex VIPs (ARM, Cadence, Synopsys, etc.) and manage verification infrastructure.
- Conduct reviews across verification phases to ensure quality and on-schedule deliverables.
- Mentor and technically guide junior engineers; track and report team deliverables.
- Collaborate with global teams and communicate status clearly in writing and verbally.
Requirements

Must-have:
- Experience in SOC/subsystem-level verification of ARM-based SoCs and UVM testbench development.
- Proficiency writing and debugging tests in UVM and C.
- Knowledge of ARM architecture and AMBA bus standards (AXI-4, CHI, ACE).
- Experience with common interfaces: DDR, eMMC, PCIe, Ethernet, USB.
- Familiarity with verification toolchains (Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor, ARM tools) and version control (CVS, SVN, GIT).
- Scripting skills (Tcl, Perl) for testbench and automation tasks.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with distributed teams.

- Experience with ARM boot environments.
- Exposure to assertion-based formal verification and hardware emulation platforms.
- Familiarity with SystemC TLM modeling.
