Senior Staff DFT Design Engineer

Role Summary

The Senior Staff DFT Design Engineer leads the design, implementation, verification, validation, and debugging of Digital and Mixed-Signal ICs DFT architectures and solutions, using advanced technologies and industry-standard ASIC tools. The position includes collaboration across multiple departments to develop high-quality test and debug patterns for various semiconductor products.

Experience Level

Senior level; requires 12-15 years of experience as a DFT Engineer.

Responsibilities

The Senior Staff DFT Design Engineer will be responsible for:

• Development and implementation of DFT architectures and techniques.
• RTL Design, debugging, and verification.
• Physical implementation and gate-level verification.
• Generation of high-quality test and debug patterns.
• STA and power analysis of DFT modes.
• Silicon bring-up, support, failure analysis, and diagnosis.
• Synthesis: timing, input/output and DFT constraints definition.
• LEC: constraints definition and debugging.
• ATPG generation and simulation.
• Analog, digital, and mixed-signal AMS verification support.
• Test plan definition for both analog and digital testing.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications include:

• BSEE + 15 years or MSEE + 12 years of experience as a DFT Engineer.
• Excellent RTL Verilog or System Verilog coding skills.
• Knowledge of DFT techniques such as ATPG, SCAN, JTAG, etc.
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork abilities.

Nice-to-have skills:

• Knowledge of automotive standards and power management applications.
• Experience with scripting languages like TCL, Python, and C/C++.
• Familiarity with ASIC tools and DFT tools.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is required.
