Senior Staff Application Engineer

Role Summary

Provide post-sales technical consultation and integration support for Synopsys Interface IP (AMBA, I3C and other high-speed protocols) to global SoC customers. Work with a distributed engineering team to ensure IP configuration, simulation, and post‑silicon bring‑up meet customer requirements.

Focus on enabling successful IP integration, producing technical collateral, and delivering customer presentations and training.

Experience Level

Senior-level; 5–15 years of relevant experience (posting also references 8+ years in a senior profile).

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include customer-facing technical support, integration assistance, and internal collaboration.

• Provide post-sales technical consultation for configuration, integration, simulation, and post‑silicon bring‑up of AMBA, I3C and other interface IPs.
• Implement and validate IP integration in customer SoC environments and support system bring-up.
• Work with AMBA protocols (including AXI) and other high‑speed interfaces.
• Create technical collateral, documentation, and detailed configuration/integration guides.
• Deliver technical presentations and trainings to customers and internal teams.
• Collaborate with a global team to resolve customer issues and improve IP quality based on feedback.
• Apply automation and AI-assisted tools/workflows to streamline support and validation tasks.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

• Experience with high‑speed protocols such as DDR, PCIe, or Ethernet.
• Experience with AMBA bus interfaces, including AXI.
• Proficiency with UNIX and hardware description languages (Verilog/VHDL).
• Strong understanding of ASIC design flow and SoC integration.
• Proven customer-facing and communication skills; ability to present technical content clearly.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a distributed/global engineering team.
• Experience with AI tools and workflows is desirable.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field with a focus on VLSI/design is specified in the posting.
