Role Summary

The Senior Staff Analog Mixed-Signal Verification Engineer will be part of the Broadband Analog group, responsible for the design and verification of FET and BiCMOS circuits for high-speed broadband ICs that support applications such as Transimpedance Amplifiers (TIAs) and drivers for Silicon Photonic technologies. The engineer will develop mixed-signal verification plans and ensure compliance with specifications.

Experience Level

Mid-level; 4 to 8 years of experience in analog IC design or verification roles.

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities include:

  • Ownership of verification of major blocks or entire broadband ICs.
  • Development and implementation of mixed-signal verification plans.
  • Creation of test cases for full chip level functionality coverage.
  • Design and development of verification testbenches using industry-standard languages and methodologies.
  • Review and analysis of verification results to provide feedback.
  • Maintenance of detailed documentation of verification processes.
  • Collaboration with design and layout teams to resolve design issues.
  • Work with various technologies and process nodes, including SiGe BiCMOS and CMOS.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • BS EE/MSc in high-performance analog/mixed-signal design and verification principles.
  • Strong understanding of analog and mixed-signal circuit design and verification principles.
  • Experience with EDA CAD tools including Cadence Virtuoso and AMS simulators.
  • Familiarity with control/feedback loop stability analysis and AGC loop design.
  • Programming skills in Python and Verilog/Verilog-A are a plus.
  • Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Good communication and documentation abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in teams.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges.

Education Requirements

BS in Electrical Engineering or MSc preferred in relevant fields.
