Senior Staff Analog Layout Engineer
Role Summary
Senior individual contributor responsible for creating and delivering custom analog and mixed-signal integrated circuit layouts. Works with circuit designers, verification, and tapeout teams to ensure manufacturable layouts that meet performance, area, and reliability targets. Role is based in Bengaluru, India.
Experience Level
Senior - typically 7+ years of professional experience in analog/mixed-signal layout or equivalent IC layout roles.
Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities include:
- Translate schematic and circuit requirements into manufacturable analog/mixed-signal layouts.
- Perform floorplanning, placement/routing coordination, and prepare blocks for tapeout.
- Execute DRC/LVS closure and work with foundry/process flows to resolve manufacturing issues.
- Collaborate with circuit designers, verification, and P&R teams to meet performance and area targets.
- Develop and maintain layout automation and scripting to improve productivity.
- Mentor and review work of junior layout engineers, provide technical guidance.

Must-have:
- Proven experience in analog/mixed-signal IC layout for commercial processes.
- Practical knowledge of DRC/LVS flows and tapeout processes.
- Experience with common layout tools and environments (e.g., Cadence Virtuoso) and scripting (Tcl, Python) for automation.
- Strong collaboration skills and experience working with designers and verification teams.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with advanced process nodes and AMS design for performance-critical blocks.
- Prior leadership or mentoring experience in layout teams.
