Role Summary

Join NVIDIA's Compute Software platform team as a Senior Software Program Manager responsible for planning and driving software and firmware releases for datacenter-class servers, rack solutions, and PCIe products. The role coordinates across software, firmware, hardware, and customer teams to deliver releases to cloud service providers (CSPs), OEMs/ODMs, and enterprise customers.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate program execution for software and firmware releases; maintain schedules and communicate status to engineering and stakeholders.

  • Lead software/firmware execution for datacenter servers, rack solutions, and PCIe products; own release schedules and plan of record.
  • Schedule and run status meetings; provide executive updates on release progress and risks.
  • Collect requirements, define priorities, and drive scheduling and planning across development phases.
  • Develop and maintain schedules for parallel workstreams and dependencies across teams.
  • Improve and document product development and software release processes; refine workflow for engineering efficiency.
  • Translate customer requirements into actionable scope and keep customers informed of issue status.
  • Partner with internal teams and third parties across time zones to resolve customer issues and manage customer releases.
  • Drive process documentation and maintain enterprise support processes.

Must-have
  • Proven ability to deliver complex datacenter products to customers, including managing releases to CSPs and OEMs/ODMs.
  • Hands-on experience with software development and processes for system software and firmware.
  • Strong independent worker with demonstrated problem-solving and resource conflict resolution skills.
  • Strategic and tactical planning ability; experience building consensus and driving cross-functional programs.
  • Detailed knowledge of software engineering principles.
  • Experience with industry-standard configuration management tools, productivity tools, and process automation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and technical presentation skills; detail-oriented and able to multitask in a changing environment.
Nice-to-have
  • Operating systems principles and Linux experience.
  • Programming experience in modern languages and experience using Agile tools.
  • Datacenter functional knowledge, experience with PCIe boards, GPUs, or NICs.
  • Prior experience coordinating activities across hardware, firmware, and software organizations.

Education Requirements
