Job Title

Senior Software Engineer - Manufacturing and Factory

Role Summary

Lead design and operationalization of rack-scale manufacturing and deployment workflows for NVIDIA data center products. Collaborate with architects, ODMs/OEMs, firmware and software teams to build reliable, debuggable, and scalable factory and deployment solutions that support production ramp and data center deployment.

Experience Level

Senior β€” requires 8+ years of relevant experience in system architecture and design.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include designing end-to-end factory flows, driving pre-silicon readiness, and making technical decisions to ensure efficient production and deployment.

  • Lead rack-scale/L11 factory and initial data center deployment flows.
  • Design and implement firmware flashing sequences, security provisioning, and deployment of software mitigations.
  • Collaborate with data center architects, ODMs, and OEMs to define factory and deployment requirements for production ramp.
  • Champion reliability, debuggability and performance in firmware, diagnostics, and deployment tooling.
  • Drive pre-silicon readiness for manufacturing workflows using simulation and emulation technologies.
  • Mentor architects and engineering teams and make key technical decisions under ambiguity.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience:

  • 8+ years in system architecture and design, especially at the software/hardware interface.
  • Deep experience designing scalable, high-performance server systems.
  • Strong understanding of networking technologies and protocols (Ethernet, InfiniBand).
  • Experience with complex system software for accelerators (GPUs, DPUs, FPGAs).
  • Expertise in out-of-band and in-band management architectures.
  • Knowledge of system management protocols such as Redfish and IPMI.
  • Proven experience implementing left-shift strategies to de-risk program execution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-have:

  • Knowledge of large-scale cloud and cluster deployment and management systems.
  • Track record of leading data center products across the full lifecycle (inception, pre-silicon, post-silicon bring-up, manufacturing, deployment).

Education Requirements

BS or MS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
