Role Summary

Join NVIDIA's Holoscan Sensor Bridge team to design and scale low-latency pipelines that stream sensor data (camera, radar, RF, medical devices) directly into GPU memory. The role spans system software, drivers, networking, and GPU interfaces to enable real-time AI in robotics, healthcare, and industrial applications.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities focus on building and optimizing end-to-end, low-latency sensor-to-GPU data paths and collaborating across hardware and software teams.

  • Design and implement high-performance, low-latency data pipelines from sensors to GPU memory (RDMA, Ethernet, GPUDirect).
  • Develop and optimize system software, device drivers, and APIs for sensor integration and streaming.
  • Work across the stack: FPGA interfaces, networking protocols, Linux kernel and device drivers, CUDA and application frameworks.
  • Integrate diverse sensors into the Holoscan ecosystem and maintain compatibility across platforms.
  • Debug and optimize real-time distributed systems to meet strict latency and throughput targets.
  • Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and AI teams to deliver end-to-end solutions and reduce sensor integration complexity.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred technical qualifications based on the role description.

Must-have:

  • 8+ years of systems programming experience in C/C++ and Python and strong Linux internals knowledge.
  • Deep understanding of networking (TCP/UDP, RDMA, kernel-bypass techniques, high-throughput systems).
  • Experience with real-time or low-latency systems.
  • Familiarity with hardware/software interfaces (PCIe, DMA, FPGA, SPI, I2C, I2S).
  • Proven debugging skills across complex, multi-component systems and experience addressing performance bottlenecks.
  • Hands-on experience using AI coding tools to automate development tasks and improve engineering workflows.

Nice-to-have:

  • CUDA / GPU programming experience.
  • Knowledge of sensor pipelines (camera, radar, RF, medical imaging, IMU sensors).
  • Experience with distributed systems, edge computing, robotics, healthcare devices, or high-speed data acquisition.
  • Familiarity with agentic or multi-agent AI tooling applied to engineering workflows.

Education Requirements

Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (BS or MS) or equivalent practical experience. (The posting explicitly allows equivalent experience in lieu of the degree.)
