Senior Software Engineer, Full-Stack

Role Summary

Work on the VLSI Productivity and Infrastructure team to build internal web platforms, backend services, data pipelines, and tooling that support chip design engineers. Deliver scalable APIs and full-stack web products used in a distributed systems environment.

Senior β€” typically 6+ years of professional full-stack development experience.

Responsibilities

The role combines frontend, backend and platform responsibilities to produce production-quality systems for engineering workflows.

  • Design and implement AI-driven web products, backend services, high-performance APIs, and data pipelines.
  • Own technical strategy for complex problems and translate high-level requirements into designs and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with product and cross-functional engineering teams to define requirements, iterate on solutions, and deliver reliable systems.
  • Build and operate platform infrastructure across on-prem and cloud environments, including monitoring and observability.
  • Act as an engineering generalist: contribute to frontend, backend, and platform work as needed.

Requirements

Key qualifications and technical skills required or preferred.

Must-have

  • 6+ years professional experience in full-stack development.
  • Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.
  • Experience building modern web applications (React preferred).
  • Experience developing scalable APIs and backend systems (Node.js and/or Python preferred).
  • Experience with data storage and query optimization (examples: MySQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, AWS S3).
  • Familiarity with orchestration, containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and observability practices.

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with AI-driven data products or large-scale data processing.
  • Passion for test-driven development and designing intuitive user experiences.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is listed; equivalent practical experience is explicitly accepted.
