Senior Software Engineer - CI for Performance Tools

Role Summary

Build and maintain CI and validation infrastructure for Arm's telemetry and performance methodologies to ensure repeatable, scalable performance evaluation across cloud, on‑premises, and hardware targets. The role is on the Telemetry team and works with architects and silicon teams to embed validation into tooling and workflows.

Salary: HUF 21,250,000 - HUF 28,750,000 per year.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include designing reproducible test environments and building CI systems that validate performance methodologies.

  • Design, build and evolve CI infrastructure validating performance methodologies across cloud, on‑prem, and hardware targets.
  • Create controlled, reproducible test environments and measurement processes to isolate regressions from environmental noise.
  • Develop synthetic workloads and microbenchmarks; occasionally write or analyze AArch64 assembly.
  • Collaborate with architects, analysis, IP and silicon teams to translate methodologies into automated validation.
  • Scale testing infrastructure and improve developer feedback loops and validation coverage.

Requirements

  • Experience building reliable automated test systems where reproducibility matters.
  • Understanding of performance measurement in CI environments, including noise and regression detection.
  • Strong Python for workflow automation, tooling, and data processing.
  • Proven debugging and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proactive approach to improving CI reliability and validation coverage.

Nice-to-have:

  • Knowledge of C/C++ and AArch64 assembly.
  • Familiarity with hardware system architecture (pipelines, caches, MMUs, interconnects, timers, multithreading).
  • Experience with hardware-in-the-loop testing, benchmark automation, or performance dashboards.
  • Familiarity with Linux performance tooling (perf, ftrace) or telemetry systems.
