Role Summary

Join the Questa Simulation R&D team in Noida to design and implement simulation engines and core algorithms for the QuestaSim platform. This is a core R&D role focused on algorithmic advances, software architecture, and delivering production-quality components within a global engineering organization.

Senior-level. Role specifies 2–7 years of relevant software development experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Contribute to core algorithm development and software design/architecture for the QuestaSim R&D platform.
  • Design, develop, maintain, and enhance simulation engines and related components.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to ensure production-level quality of new components and algorithms.
  • Work independently and as part of a team; set goals and deliver consistent progress.
  • Guide and support team members and promote knowledge sharing across the team.
  • Analyze and solve complex simulation and verification challenges.

Requirements

Key required and preferred skills (must-have items listed first):

  • Must-have: 2–7 years of relevant software development experience.
  • Must-have: Strong proficiency in C/C++, algorithms, and data structures.
  • Must-have: Solid understanding of compiler concepts and optimizations.
  • Must-have: Experience with UNIX and/or Linux platforms.
  • Must-have: Basic knowledge of digital electronics concepts.
  • Must-have: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL.
  • Preferred: Experience with parallel algorithms and job distribution.
  • Preferred: Understanding of machine learning/AI algorithms and implementation in data-driven tasks.
  • Preferred: Exposure to simulation or formal verification methodologies.
  • Preferred: Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and mentor others.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Electronics and Communication Engineering from a reputed engineering college.
