Job Title

Senior Software Engineer, AI Networking

Role Summary

Technical leader on NVIDIA's US-based networking software team focused on AI networking products (BlueField DPU and ConnectX). Lead complex customer engagements, drive product and architecture direction, and deliver high-performance, hardware-accelerated networking software.

Experience Level

Senior β€” 8+ years of relevant industry experience with technical leadership across complex systems.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include product architecture, customer technical leadership, and improving system performance and reliability.

  • Architect, design, and implement scalable, high-performance hardware-accelerated networking software for BlueField and ConnectX product lines.
  • Lead deep technical engagements with hyperscalers: design-in, coding, bring-up, performance tuning, failure analysis, and production hardening.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and architecture teams to convert customer needs into product features, reference architectures, tooling, and guidelines.
  • Drive improvements in performance, reliability, and debuggability across customer stacks and convert findings into actionable firmware and software roadmap items.

Requirements

Must-have:

  • 8+ years industry experience and demonstrated technical leadership across complex systems.
  • Deep knowledge of networking protocols and distributed systems, including RoCE/InfiniBand and L1–L4 fundamentals; strong understanding of performance and latency tradeoffs.
  • Proven low-level software expertise in C/C++ and experience debugging across firmware, drivers, OS, and applications.
  • Experience in high-performance networking and system-level debugging (packet drops, retransmissions, congestion, QoS, ordering, buffer management).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to align cross-organizational teams toward technical decisions.
  • Result-driven and comfortable multitasking in dynamic environments with shifting priorities.

Nice-to-have:

  • Customer-facing technical leadership experience at hyperscalers/CSPs.
  • Hands-on experience with RDMA verbs, DPDK, DOCA, NCCL, CUDA-aware networking, congestion control, and performance tuning at scale.
  • Experience building telemetry, automation, and internal tools to improve triage speed and operational excellence.
  • Experience leading multi-team initiatives across geographies and applying AI-powered tools to accelerate engineering workflows.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related science degree β€” or equivalent practical experience.
