Senior Software Development Engineer
Role Summary
Join the Multimedia Security Platform team to develop and deliver content-protection technologies that enable secure, premium video playback on AMD platforms. The role focuses on system-level security across Linux, trusted execution environments (TEE), multimedia stacks, and hardware-assisted security.
This is a fixed-term contract (12 months) based in Belgrade with a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include design, implementation, integration, testing, and cross-team collaboration to deliver secure video playback solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintain Widevine OEMCrypto implementations in Trusted Execution Environments (TEE).
- Develop and optimize secure content decryption modules (CDM) for protected video playback.
- Implement secure buffer handling and encrypted content processing pipelines.
- Integrate OEMCrypto with secure VA-API and multimedia frameworks.
- Create end-to-end test applications for Widevine L1 secure playback validation.
- Collaborate with Platform Security Processor (PSP), multimedia driver, and display teams to implement secure video paths.
- Support HDCP integration and secure rendering pipelines.
- Investigate, debug, and resolve security-related issues across the trusted application stack.
- Ensure solutions meet Google Widevine certification and compliance requirements.
- Improve validation automation, testing methodologies, and overall software quality.
Requirements
Technical skills and experience required or strongly preferred. Listed items separate must-haves from nice-to-haves.
- Must-have: Proficiency in C programming.
- Must-have: Experience with Linux systems, kernel, or device drivers.
- Must-have: Experience with multimedia frameworks, video codecs, or hardware-accelerated video processing.
- Must-have: Understanding of secure memory handling (e.g., Trusted Memory Zone) and secure buffer management.
- Must-have: Familiarity with cryptographic concepts and secure coding practices.
- Nice-to-have: Familiarity with Google Widevine, PlayReady, FairPlay, or comparable DRM ecosystems and certification processes.
- Nice-to-have: Experience integrating secure VA-API paths, multimedia drivers, or working with PSP/display teams on secure video paths.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree preferred in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. (Preferred, not explicitly required.)
