Role Summary

Join NVIDIA's Networking Software Architecture group to define and drive system architecture for DPUs and NICs across networking, security, virtualization and orchestration domains. Lead research, prototype development, and delivery of end-to-end solutions spanning application to hardware layers.

This role works with global engineering teams and customers to influence datacenter networking and security solutions at scale.

Experience Level

Senior — typically requires 5+ years as a Software Architect or Systems Architect, with substantial software development experience.

Responsibilities

Lead architecture, prototyping, and cross-team delivery for cloud-networking and security solutions.

• Lead architecture for cloud-networking and security solutions.
• Design state-of-the-art system architecture for DPUs and NICs.
• Build end-to-end solutions from application to hardware.
• Evaluate new technologies and develop proof-of-concept prototypes.
• Produce clear, reliable architecture specifications and documentation.
• Collaborate with software and hardware architects, R&D, product teams, and field engineers globally.
• Engage with customers on advanced technology and solution design.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred technical skills and experience.

Must-have:

• 5+ years as a Software Architect or Systems Architect; strong software development background.
• Proficiency in C and Python.
• Hands-on Linux development experience.
• Cloud-networking experience and solid understanding of networking protocols and topologies.
• Strong design, coding, analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work concurrently with multiple internal and international teams.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills.

Nice-to-have:

• Development experience with NICs, DPUs, switches, routers, or firewalls.
• Knowledge of OS internals and device drivers.
• Background in data center technologies and network topologies.
• Experience with DPDK, OVS, OVN.
• Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes components).

Education Requirements

B.Sc., M.Sc., or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering — or equivalent practical experience.
