Senior SoC Verification Engineer (UVM)

Role Summary

Responsible for developing and maintaining UVM-based verification environments for complex SoC projects and driving verification strategy from block level to SoC integration. Works closely with design, architecture, firmware, and validation teams to ensure functional correctness and coverage closure.

Experience Level

Senior — typically requires 6+ years of ASIC/SoC verification experience.

Responsibilities

Key day-to-day responsibilities include building verification environments, creating tests and regressions, debugging failures, and supporting bring-up and post-silicon validation.

• Develop and maintain UVM/SystemVerilog verification environments for SoC projects.
• Create test plans, implement test cases, and manage regressions to achieve coverage goals.
• Debug RTL and testbench failures using standard simulators.
• Collaborate with design, architecture, and firmware teams to close verification gaps.
• Drive verification strategy from block-level to SoC-level integration.
• Perform functional coverage analysis and assertion-based verification (SVA).
• Support post-silicon validation and bring-up activities as required.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience for immediate effectiveness in the role.

Must-have:

• 6+ years of ASIC/SoC verification experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with SystemVerilog and UVM methodology.
• Experience in testbench architecture, stimulus generation, and scoreboard implementation.
• Experience with major EDA simulators (Synopsys VCS, Cadence Xcelium, Mentor Questa).
• Solid understanding of AMBA protocols (AXI/AHB/APB) and on-chip interconnects.
• Assertion-based verification (SVA) experience and functional coverage analysis.
• Familiarity with C/C++ and scripting languages (Python/Perl/Shell).
• Strong debug, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Nice-to-have:

• Hands-on experience with post-silicon bring-up and validation.
