Senior SoC Performance Architect

Role Summary

As a Terga SoC performance architect on NVIDIA's SoC platform team in Shanghai, you will develop performance models, simulation infrastructure, and workload profiling tools to evaluate and improve SoC and system-level performance across AI, automotive, HPC, and edge use cases.

Collaborate with architects and engineers to run quantitative studies, identify bottlenecks, and recommend architectural improvements.

Experience Level

Senior — 3 years of relevant work experience (as specified in the posting).

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Design, implement, and improve performance simulators and architectural models for real-world workloads.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure for capturing, replaying, and profiling complex application workloads on SoC platforms.
• Conduct quantitative performance studies across current and next-generation SoC architectures and use cases.
• Investigate performance bottlenecks and propose architectural or microarchitectural improvements.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications and skills:

• Deep knowledge of computer architecture.
• Proficient programming and debugging skills in C, C++, and Python.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
• Strong problem-solving, structural and critical thinking, and communication skills; self-motivated.
• At least 3 years of relevant industry experience.

Nice-to-have:

• Familiarity with GPU architecture or memory subsystem architecture.
• Experience with SystemC or other system-level modeling libraries.
• CUDA programming experience.
• Experience developing or using deep learning models.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
