Senior SoC Design Engineer

Role Summary

Work on system-on-chip integration and automation for GPU and SoC products. The role balances hands-on subsystem or full-chip integration with development of automation and verification flows, collaborating across architecture, RTL, verification, physical design, and software teams.

Experience Level

Senior — typically 3–8 years of relevant SoC, integration, or silicon development experience.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality SoC builds and improve engineering productivity through automation and cross-domain collaboration.

• Drive subsystem and full-chip SoC integration, bringing together IPs and components into cohesive builds.
• Develop and maintain automation for builds, checks, debug, and delivery to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Work with architects, RTL designers, verification and physical-design engineers, and software teams to align interfaces and milestones.
• Use scripting and programming to automate repetitive tasks and improve design quality.
• Apply AI-assisted methods where valuable (data analysis, script generation, issue triage) while validating results engineering-wise.
• Identify integration risks early, drive technical issue closure, and improve reliability of design and automation flows.

Requirements

• 3–8 years of relevant experience in SoC design, integration, or related silicon development roles.
• Strong understanding of digital design, RTL development, and SoC architecture concepts.
• Experience with subsystem-level or full-chip integration.
• Experience with flow automation and strong scripting or programming skills (Python or similar).
• Solid debugging skills and ability to work across multiple technical domains.
• Strong communication skills and demonstrated ownership of technical work.
• Nice-to-have: experience with GPU/HPC/AI SoCs, leadership experience, AI-enabled engineering workflows, or improving build systems and integration quality at scale.

Education Requirements

MS in Microelectronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
