Senior SoC Architect, Control Plane and Management Interconnect
NVIDIAJob Title
Senior SoC Architect, Control Plane and Management Interconnect
Role Summary
Lead design and specification of control-plane and management interconnect architectures across NVIDIA SoCs. Work with cross-functional engineering teams to define interfaces, performance targets, and implementation strategies for control and management networks.
Deliver system-level models, evaluate latency/wire/power trade-offs, and drive adoption of automation and AI-assisted flows for RTL and C-model generation.
Experience Level
Senior - minimum 12+ years of experience in SoC architecture or equivalent engineering roles.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include defining architecture, validating models, and driving cross-SoC integration.
- Define and own Control Plane and Management Interconnect architecture and specifications across SoCs.
- Anticipate future SoC requirements and propose scalable solutions and new use cases.
- Optimize interconnects for latency, wire count, and power consumption.
- Validate architectures with functional (untimed) and performance (approximately timed) SystemC models.
- Develop and apply AI automation to generate RTL and C-model flows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive complex projects to completion.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and leadership experience; nice-to-have items listed separately.
- Minimum 12+ years experience as a Senior SoC Architect or equivalent engineering role.
- Deep proficiency with interconnect protocols such as ARM (AXI, CHI, APB), PCIe, UCIE, and similar protocols.
- Strong background in SoC frameworks, latency reduction techniques, and energy optimization.
- Proven ability to develop and implement control-plane and management interconnect architecture plans.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and delivering complex designs.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience applying advanced AI methods to SoC architecture and interconnects.
- Strong publication record in SoC architecture or interconnect technologies.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
