Senior SoC Analog Engineer
SECQAIJob Title
Senior SoC Analog Engineer
Role Summary
Design and deliver analog subsystems for next-generation secure System-on-Chip products. You will define analog architecture and requirements, lead circuit design through GDS, and work across teams (physical design, verification, software, security) to bring silicon to production.
This is a hybrid role based in SECQAI offices in London or Bristol, with occasional customer travel.
Experience Level
Senior β the role expects significant senior experience (see Requirements for details). 9+ years of relevant analog design and implementation in advanced technology nodes is stated.
Responsibilities
Accountable for analog architecture, circuit design, and silicon delivery across the full flow.
- Define analog SoC requirements from system and stakeholder inputs and propose architectures.
- Lead circuit design from schematic through layout to GDS and support post-silicon validation.
- Drive research and trade-off analysis on cost, performance, power and software usability.
- Integrate and collaborate with third-party IP providers and adapt IP for custom designs.
- Work with physical design, DFT, verification, software and security teams to optimise implementations.
- Contribute to roadmap planning, design reviews, and silicon bring-up activities.
- Produce and review detailed technical documentation for designs and qualification.
- Occasional travel to engage with customers and partners as required.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills, leadership and working style.
- 9+ years of hands-on analog design and implementation in advanced process nodes.
- Proficient with industry EDA tools across the design flow (e.g. Cadence, Synopsys).
- Experience leading engineering teams and coordinating cross-functional stakeholders.
- Track record taking designs through to tape-out and supporting silicon bring-up.
- Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills; attention to engineering quality.
Desirable:
- Experience with RISC-V and CHERI ISAs.
- Experience collaborating on integrated photonics designs.
- Functional safety and security engineering knowledge and familiarity with relevant security standards.
