Job Title

Senior Silicon Product Development Engineer

Role Summary

Lead silicon product development and test engineering for NVIDIA data center GPU products. The role focuses on developing ATE test content, improving manufacturing yields, driving failure analysis, and coordinating with foundry, assembly, and memory vendors to ensure product quality and delivery.

This position works cross-functionally with supply and demand program management, vendor partners, and internal engineering teams to optimize test coverage and test-time forecasts.

Experience Level

Senior β€” requires extensive product development engineering experience. The posting specifies 7+ years of direct PDE experience.

Responsibilities

The core responsibilities include test development, yield improvement, failure analysis, and vendor coordination.

  • Develop and implement ATE test content and test programs for GPU products.
  • Analyze characterization data and predict/optimize test durations to support manufacturing planning.
  • Create and maintain failure analysis plans to drive yield improvements.
  • Manage relationships with Foundry, Assembly, and Memory vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality.
  • Collaborate with supply and demand program management to meet product quality and schedule targets.

Requirements

Key mandatory skills and experience (must-have first, then relevant technical experience).

  • 7+ years of direct product development engineering (PDE) experience.
  • Experience with ASIC mixed-signal build, characterization, and qualification, including BIST and SCAN DFT methodologies.
  • Knowledge of advanced silicon process technologies (for example, FinFET).
  • Hands-on experience with Chip-On-Wafer-On-Substrate (CoWOS) assembly and silicon GPU product engineering.
  • Experience managing HBM memory vendors and supplier coordination.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and proven track record in silicon characterization and qualification workflows.
  • Excellent interpersonal and cross-functional communication skills.

Nice-to-have:

  • In-depth knowledge of advanced technology nodes and assembly stacking processes.
  • Broad understanding of wafer sort, final test DFT coverage, and silicon failure analysis techniques.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field β€” or equivalent practical experience.
