Role Overview

The Senior Silicon Design Engineer is responsible for planning, building, and executing verification for AMD's graphics processor IP, ensuring a bug-free final design.

Position Summary

As a part of AMD, you will engage in cutting-edge technology projects contributing to the advancement of AI, gaming, and embedded systems. This role requires collaboration across teams remotely and on-site, focusing on enhancing product quality through rigorous verification processes.

Experience Level

This position necessitates advanced skills with a strong understanding of processor architecture and digital design verification. Candidates should exhibit strong analytical, team collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with architects, hardware engineers, and firmware engineers to understand and verify new features.
  • Create detailed test plan documentation that includes various interactions.
  • Estimate timelines for writing tests and modifications needed in the test environment.
  • Develop directed and random verification tests.
  • Debug test failures, working closely with RTL and firmware teams to resolve issues.
  • Review coverage metrics and update tests to meet requirements.

Experience Requirements

Proficient in IP-level ASIC verification, debugging firmware and RTL code using simulation tools. Must be skilled in UVM testbenches, and programming in Verilog, System Verilog, C, and C++. Experience with the entire verification cycle and familiarity with DRAM protocol and PHY verification will be advantageous.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering is required.
