Job Title

Senior Silicon Design Engineer

Role Summary

Join a tool and modeling team that supplies architects with datapoints and simulators used to identify and validate architectural improvements for next-generation GPUs. The role owns design and implementation of features in the architecture model, improves simulator infrastructure, and delivers analysis used for product decisions.

Work includes C/C++ simulator development, Python data-postprocessing and visualization, collaborating with GPU architects, and improving model runtime, memory use, and code quality. Multiple openings. Travel: No.

Experience Level

Senior-level role. The posting requires a minimum of two (2) years of relevant engineering experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include architecting, implementing, and validating modeling features and improving simulator infrastructure.

  • Gather requirements, design, implement, and validate new features in architecture models.
  • Develop and maintain C/C++ simulators and related tooling for GPU/compute pipelines.
  • Create and maintain C models used for design exploration and performance analysis.
  • Write Python scripts for data collection, analysis, and visualization.
  • Improve tool usability: reduce wall-clock runtime, lower memory consumption, and simplify code complexity.
  • Drive SW shift-left efforts to enable earlier architecture analysis and IP verification.
  • Collaborate with architects and cross-functional teams to prove/disprove feature inclusion in products.
  • Perform software debugging, profiling, and maintain version-controlled code (Git).

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience.

  • Minimum two (2) years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments.
  • Strong C and C++ development skills; experience creating C models for design.
  • Python scripting for postprocessing, analysis, and visualization.
  • Object-oriented design and solid data-structures knowledge.
  • Software debugging experience on macOS or Linux/Unix.
  • Experience with Git and collaborative version control workflows.
