Job Title

Senior Signal Integrity Engineer

Role Summary

Senior engineer responsible for signal and power integrity (SIPI) across silicon, package and platform electrical design. The role supports product feasibility, design guidelines, simulations, measurement correlation, and cross-team coordination to meet performance and cost targets.

Experience Level

Senior — typically 8+ years of professional experience in signal and power integrity engineering.

Responsibilities

Work across feasibility, pre-layout and post-layout phases to ensure SI/PI performance and manufacturability.

  • Perform SI and PI simulations for feasibility, pre-layout, and post-layout of characterization and demo boards.
  • Establish and implement design and PCB layout guidelines and stage-specific checklists.
  • Coordinate with hardware design, PCB layout, NPI and manufacturing vendors to resolve SI/PI issues.
  • Run end-to-end channel simulations for multi-gigabit serial links (56Gbps, 112Gbps and beyond).
  • Perform PI analysis for memory interfaces (HBM, DDR4/DDR5, LPDDR4/LPDDR5 and similar).
  • Characterize product interfaces and correlate simulation results with measurements.
  • Collaborate with architecture, package and PCB teams on future PCB and packaging technologies.
  • Improve and automate SIPI design and analysis flows.

Requirements

Core technical and collaboration requirements for the role.

  • Must-have: Extensive SI/PI simulation experience across feasibility, pre-layout and post-layout phases.
  • Must-have: Experience with channel simulations for high-speed serial links and PI analysis for memory buses.
  • Must-have: Practical experience with PCB, package and IC level power delivery networks (PDNs).
  • Must-have: Proficiency with electrical/EM modeling and circuit/EDA tools such as HFSS, SIwave, HSPICE (or equivalent).
  • Must-have: Strong understanding of electromagnetic theory and circuit analysis.
  • Must-have: Effective communication, cross-team collaboration and problem-solving skills; able to drive tasks independently.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with specific interfaces such as PCIe, HDMI, DDR5/DDR6 and packaging-level design for SI/PI.

Education Requirements

Undergraduate or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering.
