Role Summary
Senior Security Software Engineer focused on designing and implementing security software for Tegra system-on-chip (SoC) products. Work closely with hardware, architecture, and software teams to integrate and validate security features across the silicon lifecycle.
This role involves hands-on development, security assessments, and contributing to the security roadmap for GPU/SoC platforms.
Experience Level
Senior — minimum 5 years of experience in security software engineering (postings specifies at least 5 years).
Responsibilities
Core responsibilities include developing security software for SoCs, validating security features across pre-silicon and bring-up phases, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Design, develop, and implement security software and services for Tegra SoC platforms.
- Collaborate with customers, partners, and cross-functional hardware/architecture/software teams to integrate security features.
- Perform detailed security assessments and code reviews to identify and remediate vulnerabilities.
- Participate in the silicon lifecycle: pre-silicon simulation/emulation, test validation, power-on bring-up, and test automation improvements.
- Specify and implement test cases and improve software quality and automation for security validation.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry security standards and regulations.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers; contribute to the team’s security strategy and roadmap.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience required to perform the role.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in security software engineering.
- Proven experience developing and deploying security solutions in complex systems.
- Strong knowledge of security protocols, cryptography, CPU and system architecture, and secure coding practices.
- Experience with AI tooling and workflows, and with security assessment tools and methodologies.
- Experience working across hardware and software teams; familiarity with silicon lifecycle activities (simulation/emulation, validation, bring-up).
- Strong problem-solving skills and clear written and verbal communication.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with GPU and SoC technologies and advanced architecture topics (Security Enclave, Secure Boot, Root of Trust, Runtime Security services, Confidential Compute).
- Demonstrated leadership on security initiatives, mentorship experience, or published research in security.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field is preferred but not required.
