Senior RTL Design Engineer

Role Overview

The Senior RTL Design Engineer position at AMD involves engaging in cutting-edge design projects as part of the Serdes Technologies Group. You will be integral to the front-end design/integration team, collaborating closely with architecture, IP design, physical design teams, and product engineers to ensure successful silicon outcomes.

Experience Level

This role is ideal for experienced engineers, as candidates will work alongside senior silicon design engineers. Candidates should demonstrate precision, strong attention to detail, effective communication, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior RTL Design Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Developing flows for emulation platforms that accurately reflect silicon designs.
• Conducting test coverage and analyzing test cost reduction.
• Providing post-silicon support to aid in successful product bring-up and yield improvement.

Qualifications

Successful candidates will have the following qualifications:

• Familiarity with Design for Test methodologies and DFT verification experience (e.g., IEEE1500, JTAG 1149.x, Scan, memory BIST).
• Experience with various emulation systems.
• Proficiency in using VCS simulation tools, along with Perl/Shell scripting, and Verilog RTL design.

Education Requirements

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
