Senior RF Design Engineer

Role Summary

Design and validate RF and baseband CMOS ICs for LoRa/LoRaWAN and related radio systems covering sub-GHz to 2.4 GHz. Work at block and system level within the Wireless Analog/Digital and LoRa teams in Neuchâtel to deliver silicon, characterize performance, and support regulatory and production needs.

Experience Level

Senior - 5+ years semiconductor industry experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities span design, measurement, and verification across IC and system levels.

• Lead design, simulation and optimization of baseband and RF blocks (≈70% of time).
• Perform lab measurements, silicon characterization and debug (≈20% of time).
• Provide ATE support and assist regulatory compliance and performance verification (≈10% of time).
• Collaborate with system architects, test and firmware teams during silicon bring-up.
• Document designs, run design reviews, and contribute to system-level architecture decisions.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

• 5+ years semiconductor industry experience.
• Proven CMOS IC design experience with RF and mixed-signal blocks.
• Hands-on expertise in one or more of: LDOs/regulators, bandgap references/power-on-reset, ADCs (Sigma-Delta, SAR), LNAs, mixers, filters, power amplifiers (sub‑GHz or 2.4 GHz).
• Experience with lab measurements, silicon characterization and ATE support.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative working style in international teams.
• Proficiency in English; French is a plus.

Nice-to-have:

• RC and crystal oscillator design experience.
• Knowledge of ESD protection strategies.
• Mixed-mode simulation experience (Symphony or equivalent) and EM simulation tools (SiWave, HFSS, EMX).

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering required. Master’s or PhD in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or a closely related field preferred.
