Senior R&D Engineer

Role Summary

The Senior R&D Engineer will develop scripts, tools, and workflows to automate design tasks within the organization, enhancing efficiency and precision in the chip design process. This position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation and optimization of design methodologies and tools.

Experience Level

Mid-level, requiring at least 2 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities include:

• Designing, developing, troubleshooting, or debugging software tools for integrated circuits.
• Creating automation tools and workflows for improving project methodologies.
• Providing feedback to enhance internal tool functionality.
• Documenting methods and creating training materials for designers.
• Collaborating with teams for the integration of design tools.

Requirements

Candidates must have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• 2 years of software development experience.
• Experience with OOP languages, preferably Python.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and UNIX/Linux operating systems.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Tcl, Perl, Bash, or JavaScript is a plus.
• Experience with EDA tools for design processes is highly desirable.
• Prior experience with VLSI design methodology is an advantage.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, electrical engineering, or a similar field is required.
