Senior Qual Support Engineer
Role Summary
Join the Consumer Custom Silicon (CSS) team to plan and execute qualification for new sensing and signal-processing products (capacitive sensing, optical stabilization/sensing, power). You will coordinate across Design, Design Evaluation Test and Reliability to define qualification plans, develop hardware and test solutions, and ensure parts are exercised correctly during reliability stresses.
Experience Level
Senior - typically 5+ years of experience in an engineering measurement or equivalent role.
Responsibilities
Primary duties include planning, implementing and debugging qualification hardware and test execution.
- Define qualification plans with Design, Design Evaluation, Test and Reliability teams for new products.
- Collaborate with Design to specify how parts should be exercised under reliability stresses.
- Drive hardware design for qualification stresses, including board debug options.
- Bring-up and debug qualification solutions pre-silicon and after devices are available.
- Support Reliability engineers during execution of qualification tests and lead failure/debug investigations.
- Document and analyze results; compile test reports.
Requirements
Must-have skills and attributes for the role.
- 5+ years' experience in an engineering measurement or test role.
- Strong knowledge of analogue and digital electronics.
- Excellent hardware and system debug skills.
- Strong Python (or similar) programming skills for test automation and data analysis.
- PCB design and layout experience.
- Proactive, self-motivated with strong teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills.
- High coordination and leadership capability to drive cross-functional qualification activities.
- Willingness to travel (approximately 10%).
Education Requirements
Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent technical degree, or equivalent practical experience.
