Senior Program Manager - Technical Apps
Role Summary
Lead and execute program management for AI application software across multiple large datacenter projects, coordinating schedules, budgets, resources, deliverables and risks from initiation through delivery. Work with product, engineering, firmware, validation and silicon teams to align roadmaps and drive on-time product releases.
Experience Level
Senior. Preferred: 12+ years of combined technical product development and program management experience. Minimum: 4+ years of program management experience and 8+ years of semiconductor/SoC/firmware or related development experience.
Responsibilities
Drive program alignment, execution discipline, and cross-functional collaboration across AI application software initiatives.
- Develop and execute program plans of record: schedules, budgets, resources, deliverables and risk mitigation.
- Coordinate scoping, prioritization and interdependency management across multiple projects and teams.
- Partner with Product Management and Engineering to define and commit to Plan of Record items.
- Establish execution processes: risk management, tracking, recovery actions and executive reporting.
- Define program health indicators and monitor quality, timelines and spending.
- Build dashboards and analytics to measure program status and drive continuous process improvements.
- Communicate complex technical and schedule information to stakeholders; negotiate and align cross-functional teams.
- Work independently with limited supervision to deliver program milestones.
Requirements
Must-have technical program management experience and hands-on familiarity with AI application software and semiconductor product development. Preferred qualifications follow.
- Must-have: 4+ years of program management experience and 8+ years of semiconductor, SoC, firmware, embedded or system/platform software development experience.
- Must-have: Direct experience managing semiconductor or SoC software development programs, including hardware–software co-development and software readiness for product release.
- Must-have: Demonstrated ability to drive execution across architecture, silicon, firmware, validation and software organizations.
- Must-have: Strong working knowledge of software development principles and risk management across the product lifecycle.
- Preferred: 12+ years combining technical product development and program management.
- Preferred: Strong technical understanding of AI application software stack: models, LLM serving, orchestration, optimization techniques, compilers, PyTorch, performance and accuracy metrics.
- Preferred: Experience creating AI-enabled program management dashboards and driving AI adoption to improve program efficiency.
- Preferred: Proven leadership delivering cross-functional AI software programs and roadmaps at scale.
- Nice-to-have: Experience across multiple technology developments and full product integration.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (as stated in Minimum Qualifications).
