Senior Program Manager – Multimedia Technologies

Role Summary

The Senior Program Manager leads end-to-end planning, execution governance, and delivery for multimedia technology programs across semiconductor platforms and XR product segments. The role coordinates cross-functional engineering and product teams across multimedia software and hardware stacks to maintain the Plan of Record (POR) and ensure predictable delivery across multiple SoCs, customers, and releases.

Acts as the primary coordinator for engineering, product, business unit, and executive stakeholders and is responsible for clear, decision-ready reporting and escalation.

Experience Level

Senior — preferred 12–15+ years in the Hi‑Tech / Semiconductor / Platform Software industry. The posting also lists a minimum of 4+ years of program management or related work experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include program and POR ownership, execution governance, resource and capacity management, stakeholder leadership, and continuous improvement of processes and metrics.

  • Own end-to-end multimedia program planning across lifecycle phases (pre-silicon → bring-up → SOD → customer ship) and maintain the Plan of Record (POR).
  • Define milestones, maintain traceability, and ensure delivery accountability for features and deliverables.
  • Drive execution governance: manage feature requests and scope alignment, release readiness and closure reviews, dependency and integration tracking.
  • Identify execution risks and conflicts and drive mitigation to closure to ensure delivery predictability for internal and customer-facing milestones.
  • Own resource planning and capacity visibility: staffing plans, level-of-effort (LoE) estimates, gap analysis, and overage tracking.
  • Provide program-level cost, capacity, and risk transparency for leadership decision-making.
  • Coordinate across engineering (software, hardware, systems), product management, business units, and executive leadership; present dashboards and executive summaries.
  • Define and continuously improve program KPIs, dashboards, execution metrics, and reporting automation.

Requirements

Must-have technical program management experience, strong execution discipline, and proven stakeholder leadership. See Education Requirements for degree information.

  • Proven experience in Technology Program Management / Engineering Program Management for semiconductor, platform software, or related industries.
  • Experience with multimedia systems (audio, video, display, vision, ISP, graphics) and platform software in SoC-based environments.
  • Experience with cross-layer hardware/software integration and managing large, cross-geo, cross-discipline programs.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and execution rigor; ability to operate at engineering depth and executive altitude.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; experience with dependency management and release processes.
  • Comfortable driving ambiguity, scale, and complexity in fast-paced environments; experience with automation and tooling is a plus.

Education Requirements

Minimum: Bachelor's degree (B.E. / B.Tech) in Engineering — Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, or a related discipline. The posting references a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science as the minimum qualification. No specific certifications or graduate degree requirement were listed.
