Role Summary
The Senior Program Manager will lead execution of multimedia hardware programs for the Snapdragon product family. The role manages schedules, budgets, resources, deliverables and risks across the ASIC lifecycle and coordinates cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to deliver complex semiconductor products.
Experience Level
Senior-level. Requires substantial semiconductor industry experience - the posting specifies overall 12+ years in the semiconductor industry with a minimum of 5+ years in a technical project/program management role.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities focus on program planning, execution and cross-functional alignment throughout the product lifecycle.
- Lead program execution from initiation through delivery to meet schedule, performance, power and cost targets.
- Plan and maintain program Plan of Record: schedules, resource forecasts, metrics, scope and communication cadence.
- Organize and lead cross-functional teams; assign and track tasks and milestones.
- Identify program risks, develop mitigation plans, maintain risk tracker, and escalate issues when needed.
- Troubleshoot program issues and develop alternative schedules, tasks or resource plans to resolve conflicts.
- Report program status and key milestones to senior management regularly.
- Ensure change control, development reviews and product development processes are followed.
- Drive process and metric improvements and promote best project management practices.
- Communicate and influence across stakeholders, and present concise, executive-level updates.
Requirements
Must-have technical experience, program management skills, and communication abilities.
- Minimum: 12+ years semiconductor industry experience and at least 5+ years in a technical project/program management role.
- Proven experience across the ASIC lifecycle, including pre-silicon, silicon validation and IP development processes.
- Experience with Waterfall and Agile program/project management methodologies.
- Skilled in schedule and resource management tools; advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
- Strong stakeholder management, written and verbal communication, and ability to influence at multiple levels.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple concurrent tasks, and adapt to changing business needs.
- Comfortable tracking program metrics and escalating/resolving deviations from plan.
- Nice-to-have: experience managing global teams across time zones; familiarity with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence); demonstrated process-improvement track record.
Education Requirements
Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience. Preferred: Master's in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
