Senior Product Testing Engineer
Role Summary
Work within manufacturing to sustain and improve test and product quality for high-volume semiconductor products. The role drives yield improvement, root-cause analysis, qualification/validation activities, and cross-functional resolution with test engineering, assembly, quality, factories, and OSAT partners.
Experience Level
Senior-level. The posting requests more than 3 years' experience in a high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environment, preferably in Test Product Engineering, Test Engineering, or Product Engineering.
Responsibilities
Day-to-day and project responsibilities focused on sustaining production quality and supporting new product and test platform activities.
- Review low-yield production lots, provide dispositions, lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with test engineering, assembly, quality, internal factory teams, and OSAT to resolve production issues and maintain flow.
- Execute sustaining activities to reduce lot rejection and EQA hold rates and improve delivery fulfillment.
- Perform qualification and validation for new products and support tester platform migrations.
- Lead yield and gross-margin improvement initiatives.
- Support system integration related to test and product validation.
Requirements
Key technical skills and experience required; listed as must-have and nice-to-have.
Must have:
- More than 3 years' experience in high-volume semiconductor manufacturing, preferably in test/product engineering roles.
- Strong understanding of test methodology and product behavior for analog, digital, and power products; experience with failure analysis, reliability testing, and RCA.
- Proficiency with statistical/data analysis tools (e.g., JMP, Spotfire).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Nice to have:
- Experience with module devices.
- Experience with Visual Basic or C++ programming.
- Familiarity with ATE tester platforms such as Teradyne ETS364/Flex or Advantest.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or a related field is required by the posting.
