Senior Product Test Engineer

Role Summary

As a Senior Product Test Engineer on the IoT Product & Test Engineering team you will develop production test strategies, hardware and software for automated test equipment, and drive silicon characterization and qualification for wireless SoCs and MCUs from first silicon through high-volume manufacturing.

This role partners with Design, Validation, Manufacturing, Quality and Marketing to deliver test solutions that ensure product performance, yield, and manufacturability.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include designing test solutions, characterizing silicon, and supporting manufacturing release.

  • Develop production test solutions and automated test hardware/software for mixed-signal RF and MCU-based ICs.
  • Design and implement ATE-based test programs and fixture/hardware for device characterization and validation.
  • Drive silicon characterization, reliability qualification, stress testing, and statistical analysis.
  • Analyze test data to improve yield, optimize coverage, reduce manufacturing cost, and resolve production issues.
  • Support NPI activities from prototype evaluation through manufacturing release.
  • Collaborate with Design, Validation, Manufacturing, Quality, and Marketing to meet schedules and requirements.
  • Develop and test mixed-signal modules including RF, ADC/DAC, MCU, embedded Flash, LDOs, PLLs and power converters.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

  • 4+ years of product test engineering experience in the semiconductor industry.
  • Experience developing production test solutions for mixed-signal, RF, or MCU-based ICs.
  • Hands-on experience with ATE platforms such as Teradyne J750 or UltraFLEX.
  • Programming experience in C/C++, Python, assembly or scripting (Perl, Visual Basic).
  • Working knowledge of MCU architectures, mixed-signal and RF systems.
  • Schematic capture and PCB design experience.
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis, yield improvement, process control and tools such as Minitab or Silicon Dash.
  • Strong troubleshooting and debug skills across silicon, hardware, software and production test environments.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with embedded Flash technologies.
  • Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) from first silicon to production release.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
