Job Title

Senior Product Manager

Role Summary

Lead product management for enterprise yield management and process-control software aimed at advanced semiconductor manufacturing customers. Partner with software engineering, applications engineering, product marketing, and program management to define product direction, prioritize development, and drive successful launches and adoption.

Experience Level

Senior-level (title indicates senior role; typically 7+ years of relevant product management or technical experience in semiconductor or related industries).

Responsibilities

Own portfolio-level product definition, planning, and launch activities for enterprise process-control and yield management software.

  • Translate market requirements into product capabilities and prioritize development timelines to maximize commercial value.
  • Collaborate with engineering to define implementation approaches that balance cost, schedule, and long-term operational costs.
  • Work with marketing on product configurations, licensing schemes, documentation, and enablement to drive adoption.
  • Shape product design for installability, diagnostics, logging, upgradeability, and compatibility with common hardware.
  • Track and report development metrics (costs, COGS, performance) to executive reviews and program reviews.
  • Validate alpha/beta builds, support NPI activities, and assist field teams during early deployments and escalations.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure robust subsystem interfaces and long-term reliability.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience required to perform the role effectively.

  • Experience with complex yield management, process-control, or analytics software systems in semiconductor or related industries (automation, precision instrumentation, aerospace, robotics).
  • Understanding of yield engineering concepts: defect analysis, analytics layers, anomaly detection, root-cause analysis, statistical correlations and classification.
  • Strong analytical and data skills; proficiency in Python, MATLAB, JMP, or equivalent tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot multi-subsystem interactions and interpret diagnostic data.
  • Experience collaborating with engineering and applications teams on system specifications, testing, and field support.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 10–25% for tool testing, field support, or customer engagements.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with defect management systems, fault detection/classification, run-to-run process control, BI layers, or yield management systems.
  • Familiarity with program management methodologies, risk analysis, cost-structure analysis, or supply-chain stability.
  • Prior experience with software development for semiconductor inspection, metrology equipment, automation systems, or advanced instrumentation.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or a related technical field.
