Senior Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) - Optical Engine Architecture
Xscape PhotonicsJob Title
Senior Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) — Optical Engine Architecture
Role Summary
Responsible for defining and executing the product roadmap for optical engine architectures that address GPU-to-GPU and GPU-to-memory bandwidth bottlenecks. Lead MRD ownership, coordinate sampling and pilot customer engagements, and drive product adoption through launch.
Collaborate closely with engineering (including link architects), supply-chain/OSAT partners, and commercial teams to ensure product and ecosystem readiness.
Experience Level
Senior — 10+ years of product management or technical marketing experience in semiconductor, photonics, or optical networking sectors.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include market strategy, product lifecycle management, and go-to-market execution.
- Define product roadmap and author Market Requirements Documents (MRDs) addressing bandwidth bottlenecks.
- Manage product lifecycle: early sampling engagements, pilot customer adoption, and transition toward production.
- Develop business cases aligning cost, power, and performance targets with OCI‑MSA standards.
- Translate MRDs into detailed Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) with engineering leadership.
- Position products against legacy technologies and communicate the commercial value of silicon photonics innovations.
- Coordinate with internal teams and OSAT partners for commercial viability and supply‑chain readiness for 2.5D integration and co‑packaged optical systems.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- 10+ years of product management or technical marketing experience in semiconductor, photonics, or optical networking.
- Deep commercial understanding of high-speed optical links, Optical Engines (OE), and OCI‑MSA architectures.
- Strong technical communication skills and ability to bridge link‑level concepts across multidisciplinary engineering teams and external customers.
Preferred / Nice-to-have:
- Prior product leadership at tier‑1 semiconductor or networking companies (e.g., Intel, Broadcom, Marvell, Cisco).
- Experience with ecosystem strategy, OSAT partners, and supply‑chain readiness for advanced integration.
- Ability to translate optoelectronic performance (e.g., 800G–1.6T+ per lane) into compelling customer value propositions.
Education Requirements
Not specified.
