Senior Product Engineer, Transceivers

Role Summary

Join the transceivers product team to drive quality and performance of high-speed Ethernet and InfiniBand interconnect products for data centers. The role focuses on data-driven failure analysis, engineering experiments, and lab debugging to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

The engineer will work with cross-functional teams (application engineering, solution architecture, firmware) to resolve complex issues and improve product screening and verification processes.

Experience Level

Senior-level. The role expects experienced engineers; the posting indicates a typical experience level of 8+ years.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include diagnosing failures, designing experiments, and communicating results.

  • Analyze networking failures and correlate multi-test data to identify root causes.
  • Design and execute engineering experiments to reproduce, screen, and resolve product issues.
  • Collaborate with application engineers, solution architects, and firmware developers to resolve complex problems.
  • Develop and propose solutions to improve product quality and performance.
  • Produce timely, accurate reports of findings and recommended corrective actions.
  • Provide feedback from test-house data to optimize product screening processes.

  • Must-have: 8+ years of experience in data-driven debugging and failure analysis.
  • Strong statistics and data analysis skills; experience with JMP and Python.
  • Proven ability to use AI/ML tools or techniques to accelerate analysis and produce results efficiently.
  • Strong problem-solving, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills; ability to work under stress.
  • Willingness to work early hours to coordinate with business partners in different time zones.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with optical networking.
  • Physical layer (Layer 1) networking verification experience.
  • Experience analyzing very large-scale datasets.

Education Requirements

B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
