Senior Product Engineer

Role Summary

Lead new product development from prototype through production release for RF/Microwave semiconductor products. Act as a technical partner across design, process, manufacturing, test and quality teams.

Primary focus: data-driven yield improvement, product performance optimization, and release of high-quality products.

Experience Level

Senior level - typically 5+ years of product engineering experience or equivalent advanced education and experience.

Responsibilities

Accountable for technical delivery, data analysis, and continuous improvement throughout product lifecycle.

• Generate and maintain Product Engineering deliverables during new product development and throughout product life.
• Perform data-driven analysis to support decisions and identify root causes of product issues.
• Provide detailed analyses for each major design revision and recommend parameter improvements.
• Track wafer fab parameters, uncover correlations, and troubleshoot process and equipment issues to improve yield.
• Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) and other statistical techniques to reduce variability.
• Support Test Engineering to debug, validate, and release production test hardware and software.
• Compile and present statistical analyses (time-series, CPK, DOE, SPC, ANOVA) with recommended actions.
• Develop and execute Yield Plans to improve yield and reduce cost; participate in cross-functional problem-solving projects.

Requirements

Must-have skills, compliance constraints, and tools typically required for the role. Preferred items listed separately.

• Must-have: 5+ years of product engineering experience or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong understanding of RF/Microwave theory and semiconductor physics.
• Familiarity with RF test equipment and common RF test methodologies.
• Proficiency with statistical methods and tools (examples: JMP, Spotfire, Excel) and experience applying DOE, SPC, CPK, ANOVA.
• Strong written/verbal communication, presentation skills, and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple high-priority activities with minimal supervision.
• Ability to present technical results to internal and external customers.
• Compliance: Position not eligible for visa sponsorship; applicants must be US Persons (US citizen, permanent resident, asylee, or refugee) due to US Government contract work.

• Nice-to-have: Experience leading cross-functional projects, experience in III-V semiconductor manufacturing, familiarity with 8D/5-Whys and Six Sigma or comparable continuous improvement methods.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field is required. A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred. The employer accepts equivalent advanced education and/or practical experience in lieu of degree where specified.
