Senior Product Engineer & AI Expert
Role Summary
Join the R&D product team in Meylan/Grenoble to develop and evolve Siemens EDA software products. The role focuses on designing and integrating AI-driven features into EDA tools, providing technical support to global customers, and representing the product at technical presentations and industry events.
Experience Level
Senior - typically suitable for candidates with extensive industry experience (often 7+ years).
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include product development, customer-facing technical support, and promoting software capabilities externally.
- Develop and evolve EDA software features, with emphasis on AI-driven functionality.
- Integrate machine learning and LLM-based solutions into product workflows.
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers throughout the engagement lifecycle.
- Demonstrate and present software at customer visits, technical presentations, and trade shows.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to maintain product quality from evaluation through post-sale support.
- Analyze and resolve complex technical issues reported by users.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience; nice-to-have items listed separately.
- Must-have: Strong expertise in AI/ML, including experience with large language models and AI-based tooling.
- Must-have: Proficiency with UNIX/Linux environments and scripting (Tcl, Python).
- Must-have: Advanced knowledge of RTL languages and related formats (Verilog, VHDL, SystemVerilog, IP-XACT, UPF, SDC, LEF/DEF).
- Must-have: Practical experience with ASIC front-end design tools and flows (synthesis, DFT, verification, simulation, timing constraints).
- Must-have: Strong analytical problem-solving and clear communication in English (spoken and written).
- Nice-to-have: Familiarity with back-end design flows and related toolchains.
Education Requirements
Engineering degree (Diplôme d'ingénieur), Master’s or PhD in microelectronics or a closely related field; relevant experience in ASIC front-end design or EDA is expected.
