Senior Product Development Engineer

Role Summary

Lead test development for AMD test vehicle programs to drive test innovation, quality, cost efficiency, and analytics. Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and test teams to define schedules, test plans, and data analyses that inform product and technology adoption decisions.

This position is based in Seoul, Korea and reports into the product/test development organization.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Synthesize test vehicle objectives and translate them into project plans.
  • Own and drive project schedule for test vehicle programs.
  • Lead test vehicle Post-Silicon (PostSi) reviews.
  • Derive test plans including test flow design and equipment selection.
  • Acquire test hardware and build test flows (e.g., V93K/Advantest).
  • Debug complex hardware and software issues encountered in test and characterization.
  • Develop and introduce new test capabilities and methods.
  • Analyze test data and publish results to support decision-makers.
  • Collaborate across functions and influence cross-organizational outcomes.

  • Must-have: Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must-have: Proven ability to collaborate, lead discussions, and communicate clearly across teams.
  • Must-have: Experience developing test plans and building test flows; ability to debug hardware and software issues.
  • Must-have: Experience with test data analysis and publishing results for stakeholders.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with ATPG, BIST, and advanced technology test methodologies.
  • Nice-to-have: Direct experience with Advantest V93K systems and MCC BI Systems (HPB5).
  • Nice-to-have: Demonstrated innovation in test capability or methods.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related technical field.
