Senior Product Applications Engineer
Role Summary
Work on Analog Devices' Consumer Audio team to bring mixed-signal audio products (hearables, hearing health, prosumer audio) from silicon to customer systems. The role focuses on product bring-up, validation, system debug, and building application expertise across silicon, embedded software, connectivity, and algorithms.
Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to support product lifecycle, customer adoption, and demo/proof-of-concept development.
Experience Level
Senior. This role expects experienced engineers; the posting indicates a typical experience range of 5β8 years in applications engineering, product engineering, validation, or embedded systems development.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Provide technical support to customers and field teams: reproduce issues, triage, and drive resolutions.
- Translate product features into clear application guidance, reference implementations, and debug recommendations.
- Debug hardware and software issues at board and system levels using lab setups and evaluation platforms.
- Develop and maintain evaluation kits, reference platforms, and example use cases to accelerate customer adoption.
- Create technical collateral such as application notes, user guides, and demo documentation.
- Collaborate with product design, system applications, software, and marketing teams to improve product usability.
- Support development of customer demos and proof-of-concept systems for internal and external engagements.
- Coordinate effectively with globally distributed teams to support product lifecycle execution and launches.
- Travel to customer sites and partner locations as required (up to ~25%).
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and attributes:
- Hands-on experience with mixed-signal systems and audio signal chains.
- Working knowledge of wireless connectivity (Bluetooth) in embedded audio systems.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and/or Python for embedded bring-up, debugging, test automation, and data analysis.
- Experience with PCB bring-up, schematic review, and board-level debugging.
- Familiarity debugging across the hardware/software boundary.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work independently and with distributed global teams.
- Willingness to travel for customer engagements (approximately 25%).
Nice-to-have:
- Experience developing evaluation kits, demos, and reference platforms specifically for audio products.
- Prior experience supporting customer field teams and building application collateral for product adoption.
Education Requirements
