Senior Product Applications Engineer
Role Summary
The Senior Product Applications Engineer leads development of application tools, reference hardware, and software that help customers integrate Analog Devices products. Works across engineering, marketing, and sales to bring products to market, mentors junior engineers, and serves as a technical authority for customers and internal stakeholders.
Experience Level
Senior β typically 5+ years of relevant experience in product applications engineering, customer technical support, or related roles.
Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership across product integration, validation, and customer engagement.
- Develop and lead creation of application tools, reference boards, and demonstration software to accelerate customer adoption.
- Apply system-level expertise to solve complex integration and optimization problems across components and subsystems.
- Design and execute validation and qualification tests to define operational limits and ensure reliable product performance.
- Resolve advanced technical issues for strategic customers and provide timely, practical solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, marketing, sales) to drive product development and market introduction.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
- Perform competitive analysis and provide strategic insights on competing products and technologies.
- Ensure products meet market-specific qualification requirements through targeted testing and validation.

- Proven ability to independently develop sophisticated application tools, reference hardware, and demonstration software.

- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with experience resolving complex technical issues.
- Expertise in validation methodologies and qualification testing for semiconductor products.
- Deep knowledge of analog and mixed-signal semiconductor products and their applications.
- Excellent technical communication skills for documentation, presentations, and customer interaction.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and leading technical projects.
- Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time.

Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field required; Master's degree preferred.
