Job Title

Senior Process Integration Engineer, DRAM

Role Summary

As a Process Integration Engineer in Advanced DRAM, you will lead development of device components and process flows to enable next-generation DRAM products. You will design experiments, process silicon, analyze results, and drive technology from concept through productization while coordinating across characterization, modeling, materials analysis, reliability, and device teams.

Experience Level

Senior level. The role requires demonstrated semiconductor industry experience; the posting specifies a minimum of 3 years of semiconductor industry experience in combination with the required degree (see Education Requirements).

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include technical leadership of device and process development, experimental design, analysis, and project execution.

  • Lead technology pathfinding for device components (charge storage devices, hi-k/metal gate transistors, thin-film transistors, etc.).
  • Design experiments (DOE), process silicon, and analyze results to validate process and device behavior.
  • Evaluate operating and failure mechanisms, sources of noise, and variability to optimize device performance.
  • Develop and integrate new device architectures from concept through silicon productization.
  • Summarize complex technical problems and communicate direction to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple project activities and drive cross-functional teams to meet priorities and schedules.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred items are listed after must-haves.

  • Must-have: Thorough knowledge of mainstream memory technologies (DRAM, NAND, NOR, SRAM).
  • Must-have: Proficiency with data analysis, design of experiments (DOE), and statistical techniques.
  • Must-have: Strong functional knowledge of materials science and semiconductor device physics.
  • Must-have: Strong understanding of semiconductor process integration and process development.
  • Must-have: Demonstrated project management skills and experience driving cross-functional technical teams.
  • Must-have: Demonstrated hands-on experience processing silicon and collaborating with process, characterization, and modeling teams.
  • Nice-to-have: Demonstrated experience in process integration and/or device engineering.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience specifically in DRAM or NAND process integration and process development.
  • Nice-to-have: Successful prior collaborations in dynamic, multi-task team environments.

Education Requirements

MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field is required (the posting specifies MS + 3 years of semiconductor industry experience). A Ph.D. in Physics, Materials Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a similar technical field is listed as preferred. Fields cited: Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science & Engineering.
