Role Summary

The Senior Process Development Engineer will lead device and process development for TVS/ESD protection devices, driving device structure design, process integration, and TCAD-driven optimization. The role partners with internal teams and external foundries to qualify and transfer processes into manufacturing.

Experience Level

Senior-level. The posting prefers candidates with 3+ years of hands-on TCAD simulation and fab process integration experience; broader senior experience in semiconductor process/device development is expected.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include device development, process optimization, and cross-functional support.

• Lead design and integration of new TVS/ESD device structures and process flows to meet electrical specifications (breakdown, leakage, ESD/surge capability).
• Use and correlate TCAD simulation results to plan process modules and tune key parameters for device optimization.
• Collaborate with in-house and outsourced wafer fabs to develop, qualify, and transfer processes to manufacturing.
• Scout and evaluate emerging semiconductor device technologies and process innovations relevant to future product roadmaps.
• Support cross-functional teams (Product Marketing, Product Engineering, Operations, Quality) on yield improvement, process excursions, and failure analysis.

• Must-have: 3+ years' hands-on TCAD simulation and fab process integration/optimization experience.
• Must-have: Strong foundation in semiconductor device physics and process integration.
• Must-have: Effective English communication skills (speaking, listening, reading, writing).
• Must-have: Ability to work independently, collaborate in teams, and solve technical problems.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with TVS technology; experience with discrete power MOSFET or IGBT is a plus.
• Nice-to-have: Experience working with external foundries and transferring processes to manufacturing.

Education Requirements

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Semiconductor Engineering, or a related discipline is required (Master’s).
