Role Summary

The Senior Principal SoC SDL Architect will define and drive the Security Development Lifecycle for Arm-based SoCs. This includes overseeing security practices from architecture through production. The role focuses on developing scalable SDL processes applicable across multiple programs and leading teams in securing SoC development.

Experience Level

Senior level position. Prior experience as a SoC Security Architect or similar role is required.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Establish and uphold the SDL framework for Arm SoC development throughout the entire lifecycle.
  • Establish security processes, checkpoints, and sign-off criteria in alignment with industry standards.
  • Lead the adoption of SDL across multiple teams including architecture and software.
  • Define roles and accountability for security across teams.
  • Provide guidance on threat modeling, risk assessment, and security reviews.
  • Ensure comprehensive SDL coverage across hardware, software, and production.
  • Develop security verification methodologies for SoCs.
  • Define metrics to track SDL adoption and continuously improve processes.

Requirements

Applicants should possess the following:

  • Strong understanding of the full SoC lifecycle including architecture and production processes.
  • Experience in leading and influencing teams without direct authority.
  • Familiarity with hardware security concepts such as secure boot and root of trust.
  • Experience with threat modeling and risk assessment techniques.
  • Exposure to security verification or validation approaches.
